Below you will find a set of questions to be asked when looking to make a decision on considering a water filtration system.
Question #1:What is your labor guarantee?
This is the important guarantee you receive from a company. Some companies use long manufacturer warranties to help sell their products. The manufacturers warranties are virtually worthless because the customer is responsible for the labor which can be many times the cost of the actual part warranted. At American Home Water we provide long labor warranties since we sell products that have proven there reliability over many years.
Question #2: What is your service charge and how much does it cost for a filter change?
Culligan charges $115.00 for a service call and much more for a filter change. At American Home Water we charge $55.00 for a service call and $80.00 for the annual filter change on a 4 stage RO and $94.00 on a 5 stage including the filters. Some companies take a week or more to schedule a service call. At American Home Water we provide emergency service and always try to get our service done the next day if the customer is available.
Question #3: What hours can I talk to a knowledgeable person if I call with questions?
At American Home Water you can reach a knowledgeable person on their cell phones 7 days a week well into the evening because someone is always on call. If our secretaries are busy or on the other line the calls transfer to one of the owners. We are constantly receiving calls from customers of other companies that can not reach a knowledgeable person on the phone to answer their questions, and we are always willing to help. If a customer has a question or needs help we are always available. You may want to try to phone the company you are considering and see how responsive they are.
